We are expanding, which means we are looking for an additional rigger with experience as a flange fitter. As a hoist supervisor with knowledge of flange fitting, you ensure the correct and safe execution of various hoisting, rigging and assembly activities for the mechanical assembly of various customers’ industrial equipment.

Your tasks as a Fitter-Rigger:

• You are responsible for the correct assembly/disassembly of the equipment (e.g. fans and pumps). This involves a number of stages including attending start-up and work meetings, aligning equipment, construction welding, using hoists and jacks and filling in work orders.
• You will often assemble, align or dismantle steel constructions. You will also carry out adjustments to small steel structures yourself.
• You ensure the safe and correct assembly/disassembly of the flanges (checking the documents and conditions, choosing the correct seal, carrying out the necessary lifting work, etc.).
  
• Both construction rigging and crane rigging must be carried out in accordance with the necessary safety measures. You select the correct securing equipment and also ensure loads are secured.
• You communicate transparently and clearly: on the one hand as a rigger to the crane operator and on the other to the foreman in the event of any problems and defects.

You achieve this in a team, led by a foreman. He/she guides you and you can always rely on him/her.

Your profile

• You have experience as a rigger (experience as a harbour worker, dock worker or in steel construction also counts).
• You have experience with flange assembly.
• An asset (but not mandatory): safety certificate (VCA), aerial work platform certificate (IS-005), flange fitter certificate (IS-010), compressed air certificate (IS-081), certificate for securing critical loads (IS-006) and experience with torquing and tensioning.
• You are not afraid of working at height.
• You adopt a flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours.
• You are fluent in Dutch (speaking and reading). Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• You have a B driving licence.
