The overhaul of the Geldof Crane was an extensive, painstaking process resulting in the machine being restored to its optimal condition.
The crane was completely taken out of service and made safe to work on. The damaged or worn parts were carefully dismantled and removed. They were thoroughly cleaned to eliminate any dirt, grease and corrosion. This allowed the parts to be thoroughly inspected and prepared for repair or replacement. High-quality replacement parts were ordered for those parts that could not be repaired. We used original or equivalent parts on this crane to guarantee reliability. The reconditioned and new parts were carefully reinstalled on the crane. The manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines were closely followed to ensure all components were installed correctly and safely.
