We are currently looking for a dynamic Mechanical Project Manager with strong technical and operational skills for our Harbour Crane Services department (harbour cranes and overhead cranes). As our Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient execution of projects while respecting the established quality standards.

Your tasks as Mechanical Project Manager:

• Translating the customer’s wishes into a technically feasible implementation plan.
• Reviewing the technical information you receive from the project manager.
• Preparing the project: formulating technical working methods, drawing up a project plan (timing, resources, etc.), scheduling personnel and materials, etc.
• Supervising operational activities, with a focus on safety and quality
• Managing, motivating and coaching our fitters and subcontractors on site.
• Financial follow-up of the project (invoicing), answering questions about it, and other related administration.
• Following up projects and adjustments where necessary so the established criteria (time, budget, quality) are respected and customer satisfaction can be guaranteed.
• You act as a Samoco ambassador at all times!

This position involves working approximately 50% of the time at our office in Zwijndrecht and 50% on site.

Your profile

We are looking for a sociable team player who is eager to learn and passionate about technical, mechanical work/industrial assembly. You have basic knowledge of drawing programs such as AutoCAD, and you are able to read mechanical work plans. You are a communicative peoplemanager who knows how to motivate and lead a team. You take responsibility, have a no-nonsense mentality and adopt a solution-oriented attitude.

The profile requirements:

• Bachelor or Master in a technical field (e.g. mechanics, electromechanics, etc.)
• Experience as a Project Leader/Project Manager in a technical environment is a must (preferably in mechanical work).
• Strong communication skills in Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Proficient at working with a computer (including MS Office).
